Our teams invent, design, and sustain the most scalable, secure, and efficient platforms and systems to power Azure now and into the future, building the best hardware systems that can power this platform – a vertically integrated hardware and software stack from the silicon to the servers, to the racks and clusters, up through the datacenter infrastructure intotheoperating system.

We are looking for the best and brightest Hardware Engineers to join us in designing for the future! Our opportunities span across multiple teams and represent a variety of disciplines including, but not limitedto:design, verification, performance modeling, and DevOps supporting the development ofIPs forFPGAsandcustom silicon.

You will work with great people; you will solve a lot of technical challenges; you will have the opportunity to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a cross-functional team to contribute to the design, verification, validation, or embedded software/firmware on IPs for FPGAs, custom SoCs and ASICs
  • Apply your growth mindset to learn and adapt in a complex and dynamicenvironment
  • Apply your One Microsoft mentality to collaborate with and influence architects,designers, verification and validation engineers, and embedded softwareteams
  • Delight your customers by providing high quality results onschedule

Qualifications

  • B.S or higher preferably in computer engineering, computer science,electrical engineering,or related fields or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experienceinone or more of the following:
  • Siliconand IP verification and validation using methodologies such asUVM
  • Verilog, VHDL, and RTL for the design and verification of FPGAs, SoCs, or ASICs
  • Experience with VLSI design andchip floor planning

Interviews for the Hardware Engineer roles will be conducted in partnership with HBCU Connect. By applying tothis role, you’ll be assessed for multiple, identical positions on several teams.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
